It's impressive how Ringo Lam got Roy Cheung to play the most evil asshole of all time in all three of his Fire movies: City on Fire, Prison on Fire, and School on Fire.

#1 celebrity crush is definitely Alison Oliver. Here's a tasteful pic of her in the upcoming Wuthering Heights.

Very exciting news for samurai cinema fans! I've always wanted to check these out but never knew how. This will be the perfect way to do it!

I just saw that Bob Burns passed away recently. It's funny I was thinking about him just the other day. Nobody embodied the love of genre cinema like that guy did. I love watching old YouTube videos of that guy talk about his love for monster movies.

A heads up to Hong Kong fans checking out Shout Factory's digital HD release of Peace Hotel that it's a different cut of the movie that does not feature the mind blowing shootout sequence where Chow Yun Fat slides down a ladder and shoots the shit out of 100+ guys. Bummer 😕

I know Larsen has his fans, but I just can't get into his artwork. It's too scratchy and messy. He really does feel like a wannabe McFarlane, right down to the dramatic vertical panels and extreme close ups. The art from his small Spider-Man ('90) run is nearly incomprehensible.

I read the Amazing Spider-Man by Micheline and Larsen Omnibus, and I didn't care for it. The ASM run is fine, benefiting more from Micheline's writing and appearances by Venom and the Sinister Six. But the material from Marvel Comics Presents and Spider-Man ('90) is rough.

If I was Mortal Kombat II, I'd be very afraid. I felt more for this teaser than I did for the entirety of that last Mortal Kombat.

Caught some of RHSLC with my wife last night, and there's a part where Meredith talks about watching movies on the plane, and then Heather is like what were the movies? And they proceed to have a straight up On Cinema moment arguing about what happens in Crazy Rich Asians.

Having all three of these in HD finally is a dream I never thought possible.

Gen-Z proving they don't care about presales. They're all walk up.
Talk about last minute overperformance! After sluggish pre-sales at US #BoxOffice, industry expected a 35M-40M weekend for the #FiveNightsAtFreddys sequel, but #FiveNightsAtFreddys2 delivered STRONG 29.8M on FRI Opening Day alone, including 7.2M THU Previews for the game-based

100% agree with this statement. It's all a lie. Check out James Cameron on The Town podcast recently saying the exact same thing.
In the coming days or weeks, I imagine Ted Sarandos is going come out and say that under Netflix, Warner Bros. will continue to prioritize theatrical distribution, and that WB films will operate differently from Netflix film. Needless to say, that will be a lie.
