The movie certainly feels rushed along, cramming an entirely new universe into one movie, so not every plot point feels connected. Even so, there’s a lot of fun to be had in how different this feels from other Marvel movies.

#TheFantasticFour FIRST STEPS delivers an exciting first adventure with Marvel’s first family. The family’s genuine bond, along with a sleek, retro world, sets it apart from the typical MCU flick. More focused on problem-solving than smashing stuff. It’s good!

EDDINGTON nails so much of the paranoia and vitriol thats permeated the country, but it loses its pinpoint accuracy as the film descends into madness. Less a sniper than a shotgun blast hitting everything it can, it’s ambitious, but too messy and overlong to land its message.

Colbert was openly bashing Skydance and CBS for bowing to Trump this week as they’re going through their merger. This is a political favor to Trump, plain and simple.
