Elaine's Books is the only used bookstore in St. John's & it's on the verge of closing! I will be at Elaine's Friday at 1 pm to donate my Operation Series & sign them. Drop in, buy some books. Every city should have a quaint bookstore! Don't let ours close @FlankerPress @WANL

There would be no Little Mermaid (and really no Disney as we know it), if it wasn’t for the late great Howard Ashman.

The lyricist behind iconic songs from The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin passed away 30 years ago, but we'll always be part of his world.

Check out this spectacular replica ⬇️ It’s actually a prop from the TV show “Republic of Doyle”. In one episode, the Veiled Virgin statue is stolen and detective Jake Doyle is on the case. When Doyle wrapped filming in St. John’s they had a set sale. It’s been on my desk since!
There are great sculptors, and then there are those whose abilities to transform stone border on the divine. These are 15 of the most astonishingly lifelike marble sculptures ever created 🧵

Giannis is outstanding: “There’s no failure in sports. There’s good days, bad days, some days you are able to be successful, some days you are not, some days it is your turn, some days it’s not. That’s what sports is about. You don’t always win.”

So, today we were at Rosie’s Restaurant in Gander with our two kiddos. As we ate, staff brought a birthday cake to an older gentleman at another table. A moment later, two slices of cake landed on our table. The waitress said the man had spotted little kids and wanted to share❤️
