So while gd is hard for sure, I’m not actually sure it would even crack top 5 in games overall taking everything into account. The game’s structure itself allows for our accomplishments to be possible. And I think that’s awesome. GD shows us just how powerful our brains can be!

There are gamemodes with more nuance (I LOVE SHIP ❤️) but our hardest gamemode requires none, that of course being the wave. Wave is as straightforward as it gets, and I think it’s safe to say no hard video game mechanic is simpler than it

You just can’t get simpler than GD. It’s just straight 1:1 input in the brain, no intermediary actions required to translate multiple button presses into anything else like in most other games. No energy wasted on movement or aim or anything. Just click to win

very careful to practice right. GD really only requires your time and patience. Even other games similar to gd just aren’t as straightforward. Mario maker’s very hard, same as Celeste, but still, you need multiple inputs and stratfinding and more careful setup than GD requires

I do think GD is the hardest game of all time, but only because it’s so easy to practice. There’s very little nuance to it. Other games like competitive fighting games you may only really learn from key moments even if your mechanics are improving overall, and you have to be(1/5)
