🚀Exciting news! Our paper has been accepted at NeurIPS 2024! Code will be released within 2-3 months. LoD and Scaffold-GS will be supported in our distributed training framewor, with a modified GUI of COLMAP to visualize and debug the scene splitting results.

3/n My work on distributed SfM (AdaSfM, icra 2023) and our distributed 3DGS are now the two main components of our distributed neural reconstruction engine.

2/n Our method accelerates the training of 3DGS by 6+ times on 5 GPU nodes (one master node to maintain the global model and four nodes for local training) with better rendering quality on large scale datasets.

Thx @janusch_patas for highlighting our work on distributed 3D Gaussian Splatting. 1/n. We find the distributed training of 3DGS suffers from the inconsistentcy issue during final merging. The issue can be sovled with the consensus and sharing step in our work.
