"Trust the data" is the mantra of dummies. Only dummies trust the data, and only insufferable pricks accuse those who don't of being "anti-vax." People who refer to themselves as "data guys" invariably show their biases in their delivery of data. Data doesn't require ad hominem.

Art school is a joke for anyone who has talent and ambition. Art schools mainly provide a boot camp experience for uninspired and unskilled aspiring artists, technical training for jobs that are mislabeled as arts, and a career path for academic types. Not great for artists.

Living down South for many years was a great experience. Despite the warped views of the North and some disturbing cultural norms, there was a courteousness and generosity that was more prevalent. And most people were "good" in the way that most people in most places are good.
