Aston Martin: 6/10 It looks good, it looked good last year, but I expected a bit more development on the design, not a step backwards. It is a pleasing livery but not outstanding. So not much more to say than it’s there, not bad but not great.

McLaren: 5/10 They took the “ok” livery from last year and made it genuinely more boring. More black, less color, and another seemingly “ok” livery. I wasn’t expecting much from McLaren but I wasn’t expecting a downgrade either.

Alpha Tauri: 6/10 I’m very conflicted on this livery. The design doesn’t look bad, but I can’t tell if the red throws it off or makes it stand out. The wheel design looks okay but also doesn’t flow with the car. I genuinely don’t know if I like this livery or not

Alfa Romeo: 10/10 Alfa has consistently made beautiful liveries, and even with the change to carbon black to save weight, it somehow still looks absolutely amazing. The retro style and the deep red make it not only a gorgeous car, but probably the best Alfa livery to date

Williams: 5/10 It flows better than it did last year, but it’s still not a very pleasing livery. The color is somehow overwhelming and bland at the same time, and there’s very minimal thought in the actual design. It’s an improvement, but only mildy

Red Bull: 7/10 It’s still a Red Bull, it’s starting to get old.

Haas: 6/10 It’s a pretty solid livery. I think the black is a bit overwhelming, and a few minor color change tweaks could go a long way. Besides that, the actual scheme looks good, and it’s a very solid improvement over what they’ve done the last few years.

This isn’t a Hamilton Vs Russell situation. If both cars pit it would have been a double podium. If neither car pit it would have likely been a double podium. Mercedes botched the strategy today for the team, not the individual drivers

The amount of people hurt by this is inexcusable. And I’m so sorry for both Mercedes and anyone affected by this. I would dread to be the staff member that has to make the statement for this

The plus side to being a Ferrari fan is there isn’t any fighting about who’s better. We all acknowledge we suck
