Product managers, what’s your achilles heel? Mine’s people who love politics. I can’t work with them.

@yanatweets I second the politics bit. When "looking" like you're doing the work is more important than doing the work - such a waste of energy.

@yanatweets SWE here, but one PM I worked with in a highly+daily data driven environment, who didn't know the basic tenets of data analysis (SQL...) or frankly even product thinking. Prob got promoted too early bc of friend in the co.

@yanatweets People so scared to act on intuition that they require “data” and “testing” before getting out of bed in the morning. Experience > testing for 80% of standard platform challenges.

@yanatweets product managers who don’t also write code. it’s like having an airline copilot that doesn’t know anything about the controls, engineering design, or capabilities of the aircraft, but somehow has a special skill to manage its construction.

@yanatweets Whiners. Love contrarians, as they find what's missing. When whiners mask themselves as contrarians, everything feel like quicksand.
