One thing I thought about as well is maybe the reason Sirene gets angry isn’t because she can’t show Verso anything but because as the representation of Aline Verso is who she yearns for the most. Perhaps faced with the same trick she plays she got shocked and angry.
the concept of sirène showing each of the expeditioners the person they want to see most... but she cannot show anything in front of verso, because the person he wants to see the most is his mother... and she is the representation of his mother.
