Absolutely gutted to hear about Keith Giffen. One of my favourite creators, his work on DC comics in the 80s and 90s totally shaped my love of US comics. Always felt his black humour and boundless creativity mad him akin to all my 2000AD heroes. What a loss, RIP.

As it’s a Saturday night... Here’s the time DEADLINE went acid house. In 1988 Brett Ewins released a 12” single with Ola B, Mick White & Ken Thomas. Accompanying the record was a 8 page A4 booklet of Ewins lyrics illustrated by contributors to Deadline art: Ewins x3 + Shaky KANE
