Time is a strange thing. When Mr Perfect Curt Hennig returned at the 2002 Royal Rumble it felt like a nostalgic return, but he had only actually left WWF just over 5 years prior (in Nov 1996). That’s the equivalent of someone who left WWE in late 2017 returning this year 🤯

I remember at the time this feeling like an early WCW invasion with Flair, Sid and also Luger on the show, then later in the year you had Diamond Studd and the Steiners arrive. It was a great time.
Wrestlemania 8 was a great show and I love this intro.

A few curveballs are thrown in by adding an accessory to an attire that it doesn’t necessarily go with but I’ve tried my best.

From the first 14 Wrestlemania events, Wrestlemania 9 is the most represented by Mattel.
With Steiners coming soon, just Kona Crush and Giant Gonzalez haven’t been made of all in ring talent. Also missing are Backlund in red trunks and Bret in all pink with white trim.

Dead man walking! 🧟♂️ Undertaker has been well represented by Mattel, here are his figures covering 1989 to 2003.
This one was a little more challenging than I expected with some attires having only subtle differences.

I’ve never been a fan of changing title belt designs. For me, having the lineage of seeing the same belt raised by the current star as was also held by the legends of the past is what gives the title its status. If the rumours are true, I’m all for it.

Hercules appeared at Wrestlemania 2 to 7, appearing at more Wrestlemania’s than any other wrestler without getting a figure from Mattel. His only official licensed figure from a major toy line was the LJN.

Amazing figures from the retirement match, but many key attires not made, and collections are desperate for Haku, Barbarian, Mountie and Roma/Herc.

The reason I asked, it seems most people are all in, collecting every figure, or intend to. Wouldnt this line work as a subscription service? You sign up for 12 months, pay monthly but get 4 deliveries a year (4 series, 16 figs)...lineups announced before signing up
