I don't often rave about medical books but I'm a fan of Hannah Wunsch @wunschcritcare's The Autumn Ghost'. Stories of male medical power in Denmark balanced with the intense human ones of children affected by polio & those who ventilated them by hand. History at its best.

Took John’s playwriting class 2 years ago and absolutely loved it. Such an amazing teacher. Opened a whole new world to me. A supporter of beginner playwrights as well as professionals. So very sad to learn of his death.
RIP John Burgess. A tireless supporter and promoter of new writing and new writers. A gifted and exacting tutor who always paid you the highest compliment possible of treating you like a professional and being ruthlessly truthful about your work from day one. I will miss you JB.
