Twas an exciting time for high school me. I waited since childhood for the photos since I heard the craft launch. Was so cool see the first pictures of Pluto ever.
Ten years ago, New Horizons came closer to the surface of Pluto than any spacecraft in history, flying less than 8,000 miles (13,000 km) above the surface. This enhanced-color image was taken when New Horizons was about 280,000 miles (450,000 km) away.

When thinking deeply about it, I think my biggest issue with the finale of the 2025 Superman is that I feel like he didn't get to use his extraordinary powers in the climax to do something completely logic-defying and awesome. I get everyone hates the ending of the 70s film.

Yes 90s tech unlocked opportunities for traditional artists to push things a bit. These were traditional artists trained by traditional artists, an unbroken lineage of accumulated knowledge. At some point the tech made this traditional knowledge obsolete, and it was overhauled

I am enjoying that The Batman and Superman were being unapologetically comic book films and allowing themselves to have supervillains of such deep evil.

One thing I am slowly starting to enjoy about DC Supervillains is that their evil schemes are always requiring actual powerful superheroes to deal with, instead of something that can be handled by like an agent or something. I think I'm starting to understand the appeal of DC.

That film also focuses less on the action scenes and more Superman using his incredible powers to save people. The new film somewhat does this, but it opted for a slugfest in the end. I wish we got to see him use his powers more to solve the problems happening.

Even though I liked the new Superman film, I still find it inferior to the 1977 version. I find Reeve's portrayal completely unsurpassed. He shines like a genuine paragon, without needing to reject his Kryptonian heritage. He is the best of both of his worlds.

Lego doesn't make stuff like this anymore and it makes me sad. It's either a 400 dollar mega set (too expensive) or a single 100 dollar Creator set, which is affordable, but I want a theme.
10176 King's Castle, a recreation of 6098 King Leo's Castle, was a fun LEGO exclusive set released in 2006. We love the inclusion of Bull and Lion Knights, as well as that curious ghost. Could it be a costume, given the yellow hands?. #LEGO #Retro #LEGOCastle
