“None of that… Nothing to apologize for, my boy… Get some sleep.” He’s not sure why he does it, but he turns to press a fleeting kiss to Simon’s hairline. Meant to be a reassuring touch. His hand is still buried in his hair. Whatever book had been in his lap is now —
“Rest sounds good…'M sorry…” He doesn’t know why he’s apologizing, though he feels guilty for getting caught like he did, especially with his skill. Then again, he is only one person.

“Of course you can stay. You get some rest, hm? I��ll be here should you need me… We’ll get you cleaned up proper after you sleep.” Edison’s words are gentle, fingers still moving through Simon’s hair. Seeing him so beat up sent a pang of guilt through his chest, —
himself pretty well, but sought out comfort anyway. “Legion’s full’a assholes. I dunno if you can really help, but if I can stay, I’d like that?”

“You look a little worse for wear… Anything I can do for you?” He murmurs, his fingers threading themselves into the strands of Simon’s hair.

Edison gives him a look of confusion, he’s significantly dressed down, clearly getting prepared for bed himself. His glasses are balanced on the tip of his nose. “Simon? Are you alright, my boy?” He questions, running a gentle hand over the back of his head. —
Simin crashes at @wrightplaced ‘s side, covered in bandages. He looks like he’s gonna fall asleep right against him. Been a long day and his immediate thought had been to seek the other out. Hopefully it’s okay.

Edison gives him another sharp nod, taking his hand to shake. “I’m aware of what I’ve earned. I’m glad you’ve finally opened your eyes to it… Turning a new leaf, hm?”
“You are earned far more than an apology but one step at a time.” Reaching a hand out towards Edison for him to hopefully shake. “I have two more that I must apologise to.”

“I’m glad you’re learning empathy, truly…” He sighs softly, shaking his head yet again. “We may not be best friends, Robert, but… I do accept the apology, really. It’s very big of you to do… I respect it.”
Curious as to why Edison was frowning. “As do I.” Responding with a nod himself. Feeling ever so awkward with how this conversation was actually heading.

He releases a soft grunt, nodding with a frown still written on his features. “I’m glad you’ve come to the realization, Robert. I really do hope it brings you peace.” Edison replies, mustache twitching.
“Yes, well I have had a lot on my mind over these many years.” Sighs and looks towards Edison. “I am not expecting any sympathy but I just want you to know that I apologise for abandoning you and treating you less than human.”

“Only took you… what? Two hundred years to figure out that you’re a jackass?” Edison shakes his head, laughing. He’s shocked that this is even a conversation he’s having. “If you’re looking for my sympathies, you won’t get them, but… I’ll accept the apology.”
Why is that everyone’s first thought?. “No, I am not dying, just had my eyes opened to my behaviour.” One thing is for sure, Edison will not be crying on him.

Edison stops in his tracks, his eyes narrowing as he absorbs Robert’s words. An apology? From 𝘙𝘰𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘵 𝘏𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘦? Now that’s just completely out of character. “Are you dying?” It was one of the only logical conclusions he could come to. Why else would he apologize?
That is true. He would be following him everywhere until he got an answer. “I wanted to apologise for how I’ve been acting towards you.”

Edison frowns, brows furrowing as House asks him to speak. He can’t say he’s excited about it, but he also knows that House won’t leave him alone if he says no. “I suppose. What is it?”
