9/ The way forward? ✅ Accessibility ✅ Simplicity ✅ Accountability We need clear laws, digital literacy, platform reforms & community-led strategies to counter gendered disinformation.

8/ Cultural roots of gendered disinformation: In many African societies, women are discouraged from speaking out. GD exploits this—through body shaming, silencing & fear. Awareness must start at home, in schools & in our laws.

7/ David Iribagiza (WOUGNET, 🇺🇬): Collective action starts with feminist research. It informs capacity building, policy advocacy & platform accountability. Laws like Uganda’s Presidential & Parliamentary Elections Act must be amended to reflect gender realities.

6/ Tigist (cont’d): Gendered disinformation often targets middle-class journalists & politicians—but we must widen the lens. Local languages, offline communities & LGBTIQ+ voices matter. Algorithms miss the pain when they miss the language.
