People who talk of leaders are obsessed with authoritarian thinking. They cannot get rid of paternalistic (“power-over”) patterns of imagining the world. They have nothing constructive to contribute to organizations or societies.

Don’t aim at being a generalist - aim at being a multi-specialist! Robust, high-performing teams are made up of multi-specialists, or “individuals with several, or many masteries” who can effortlessly slip into several different roles. “Generalist” – that sounds like “scallywag”.
