I'll be documenting my human rights claim against @UTLaw for educational and transparency purposes - these processes can be tedious and inaccessible so here it is! #cdnpoli #onpoli #Ontario #universityoftoronto #law #Disability #Toronto #Canada #AcademicTwitter

Avg. rent in the city is 2500/month, which is 30K/year. Avg. CUPE Ed worker salary is 39K/year. Remember who to be mad at if schools are closed due to a strike: blame falls squarely on the man denying early childhood educators and custodians the right to basic decent living.

Solidarity w/ the Ontario education workers organizing for decent working conditions. Funds are always available for surveillance, jails, repression, while life affirming social needs are decimated. education is a social need and good and workers deserve our support right now.

interesting to see Ontario's education minister complain that 80 cents of every dollar spent on education goes to pay and benefits this is also true of policing a full-time OPP officer who finishes training makes $75,000/yr a full-time education worker makes $49,000/yr

We didn't ask the police for an apology, we demanded lasting change from @JohnTory and Toronto's political class. we continue to demand police defunding and ultimately abolition, and no apology can substitute for that a statement from @NoPolicing

Our city choosing to surveil and police encampment residents rather than providing decent livable housing for all is the reason that abolition is necessary.

Denying accommodations to students w/disabilities violates the duty to accommodate to the point of undue hardship. @UofT this is a prohibited ground of discrimination. Time to honor your stated commitment to equity and inclusion. @OntHumanRights https://t.co/EExrVguDp3

I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to speak with the Star on behalf of the DSLA. Anushay shares her story powerfully here. Disabled access to all levels of education is essential yet so often overlooked or denied even when it’s easy to do.

Disabled law students who spoke to the Star say it’s vital to have equal access to online lectures on an as-needed basis. And the number of students who may seek disability accommodations is growing. https://t.co/GfFflhCUpg

This is so frustrating. No, it didn't. Canada has never had life without parole. The #SCC struck down the ability of a sentencing judge to stack parole ineligibility periods one after the other.

In tonight's election debate, Ontario's four major political party leaders were asked what needs to be done to improve school safety none of them mentioned the police the ongoing fighting for police-free schools across Ontario has come so far in only a few years!

My friend Anushay from @wklyrant came over the other day as I was getting ready to perform at @ClownsKillEmpi1. We talked about drag in Toronto, some of my research, and hegemonic politics in queer space. Check it out! #GetReadyWithMe https://t.co/5uoCEZmoHf
