It’s great to see Northern Ireland cheese on sale in Germany. Marketed as Northern Irish cheese. Placed right alongside cheese from Ireland. #Northern #Ireland farming is benefiting from the #EU Single Market. No (other) UK cheese (or food) was available: cc: @LizWebsterSBF

There is no such country is the “Republic of Ireland”. Tories are at it again. Nor is there such a group as “the people of the Republic of Ireland”

From the newspaper that admired #Brexit. And whose world view plucked Vance out of the political wilderness barely 5 months and 4 weeks ago. Irony is dead.

Ireland had the 2nd best performing economy in the world in 2024, according to @TheEconomist. Our strong standing resulted from solid GDP growth, increasing share prices, moderate inflation, reducing unemployment, and a healthy fiscal balance. 🇮🇪😇 https://t.co/XO5zg8pml2

Proof of the damage that Brexiteers have done to cross-community relations in Northern Ireland and between the UK and Ireland.
On the first occasion Stormont has got to vote on the NI Protocol's Irish Sea border provisions, as expected, 100% of nationalist (SF & SDLP) & 100% of 'other' (Alliance & PBP) MLAs vote for the sea border - and 100% of unionists (DUP, UUP, TUV & independent) vote against.

I notice that the BBC has revived it’s bizarre campaign to resurrect a country that does NOT exist - the “Republic of Ireland”. (It’s just Ireland, it has been continually since 1937) Would it trouble the FDCO to remind the BBC to respect this? https://t.co/KDpnZBVcVj

Oh, it looks like the ‘Patel Plan’ (to starve Ireland) is colliding with reality: “#Brexit border checks are reducing British consumer choice and compromising Britain’s food security, according to Britain’s fresh produce sellers and plant growers” https://t.co/aOMy50sCkK

No it won't. There is no legislature of the Republic of Ireland as no such country exists. Ireland's general election is to be called this year, though. @BBCNews
