Rouge just ends up stealing it anyways and sonic is fine with it so it makes that fight even more pointless. And why is sonic surprised about shadow letting rouge have the emerald, he knows they're operating as a team and shadow trusts her anyways. What a stupid chain of event

they also create unnecessary conflict between sonic and shadow. What was sonic's plan here? to leave the emerald with the clearly unstable family and mentally ill kid? Shadow is 100% in the right, his intention to retrieve the emerald is justified and sonic has no reason fight.

It's laughable how incompetent at writing Evan was here, how do you manage to introduce characters and within the same comic you're able to contradict the traits you gave them. And if that wasn't clear enough, this isn't how you resolve conflict

The comic tries so hard to make lunar the best thing to have ever happened to the universe. He constantly has sonic and tails not only reassuring but more importantly validating everything about him like his mental issues. later on like in this page, sonic is just jumping on it

Apparently Lunar is just a Rouge level pickpocket, being able to take an emerald away from sonic while he is combat ready. It was told to us that lunar practiced acrobatics from sonic videos, that would not lead to him being able to steal from sonic

the parents are being extremely stupid and irrational, their son is showcasing behavioral problems and trauma and they're like "it's the damn phone". Keep this aspect of the parents in mind

2) Tails is being a plot device, as always he is a know-everything wizard and is used to tell the audience what's going on. like "this isn't my strong point but i'm going to proceed to give you an accurate diagnosis that a professional would take weeks to give"
