The problem isn't caring about the lowest decile the problem is embedded in the theory that to improve their lives they require govt supplied formal schooling to achieve it and then throwing them fake jobs or welfare. Since the latter happens why bother with the former?

Quiet wrong. Homeschooling mainly benefits children with significant support mechanisms (eg highly educated adults with lots of free time), and AI/ robo-teaching is only useful to students who enjoy calm, supportive environments- highly ambitious and motivated, self-starters
