@HPEschools @triboardbus @BusDelayNCancel A lot of bus drivers need to leave home well before 6am so they can get to work and do their pre-check. Would be nice to know well before 6 so we don’t need to venture out on unsafe roads

If rapid testing is good enough to keep PC MPPs and their staff safe, why isn’t it good enough to keep students safe?

Our province has gone without a governing government for awhile now, every single worker in this province has done more to keep this province afloat than the government so thank you to you all #onpoli #onted #VoteFordOut2022

So a 17 yr old unvaccinated student can eat maskless in the school cafeteria but cannot go to a restaurant to eat indoors because it’s not safe. This is because COVID doesn’t exist in schools, right? #Ontariologic #FireLecce

@CanadaSaysStop Yes it does. I am sitting here trying hard to think of a time when racism was not my environment. I see my kids having faced it, now my grandkids. It is way past time to change for the nation that chose these lands to settle. Honor them and the original people who have allowed it

Can you say 'person with a disability' or 'disabled person'? DO NOT say 'disabled person'. It is important to use language that focuses on the person and NOT the disability. DO NOT say 'handicapped', or 'retarded' - these are OFFENSIVE. #DisabilityLanguage

I was recently asked "Who is in the margins?" I replied "who is NOT?" When we build relationships with students without making assumptions based on identity markers, we realize ANY child can be in the margin at any point in their life. It is our job to bring them to the centre!

Is it just me, or does the MoE sound ignorant about some of these items in their list? And when did the MoE ever do asymp testing schools? And buses are full, labs cannot do distancing, we will be back on remote....

Great read about the reality for teachers in relation to the OCT: "We must collectively resist the vision that the OCT is selling, and clearly express that it has no business using our own fees to compel us to buy into that vision." Agreed!!!

Six weeks to go until schools reopen, and the @fordnation @Sflecce plan for #SafeSeptember2021 seems to be… just wing it? Take note of the deliberate dismantling of Ontario’s education system and be wary of private schools popping up as a form of disaster capitalism. #onpoli

Where are the marketing campaigns to get 12-18-year-olds (and parents) informed and vaccinated? This group has been eligible since the beginning of June! High rates of vax make for a better September. #OnPoli #OntEd

In Ontario, there are 1,131,656 students under 12 who are ineligible for vaccines. @Sflecce and @fordnation have absolutely no plan for them. (School starts in 6 weeks) #onpoli
