The #NatureisntNeat mural has been installed. Anyone who took part in the workshops over summer helped inspire the design π€©. The idea is to inspire action for pollinators. Have you seen it? What did you think? @MayorofNewport @NewportCouncil @southwalesargus

Sweet peas πΊπΊ People are welcome to pick some from the community garden. They actually need picking to keep the flowers coming or they create pods instead. They smell wonderful too! Like these ones displayed at The Glade CafΓ© πΊπ

The new mosaic artwork at The Glade will be inspired by our sister project, The Meadow. We picked wildflowers from the meadow to create a silk print. The resulting prints will be used by Stephanie for the design. Next workshop will be 19th Aug. Exciting π

What a busy and productive day at The Glade! Bog garden planted (which required a pick axe), dragonfly wing beds seeded with pollinator-friendly annuals and salad bed prepped and sown with six different varieties. Can't wait to see the areas develop this summer π

One of our volunteers is learning Welsh and has kindly started translating our plant signs. We have school visits starting this week so hopefully the children will enjoy learning some plant names in both languages π π¬π§π΄σ §σ ’σ ·σ ¬σ ³σ Ώπ
