I’ve always appreciated @poetrynw as a home for my work. This poem, “In the Park,” is about care and tenderness and loneliness in the months and years after we lost my dad — we’re lucky to be doing much better these days. Thanks to the whole PNW team 💗📚💗 [PS love you mom 🦆]

I can't believe how lucky I was today to record an episode of the Sewanee Review podcast with @whiteside_jim, hang out with the incredible @sewaneereview staff, and join Dr. Stephanie McCarter for a Classics-focused keynote on Helen of Troy, 1993. Sewanee, you are so good to me.

“I think, in a way, a queer childhood provides painful but valuable instruction on how to be a poet: we learn early the power—and often necessity—of solitude.” Honored to have an interview with the brilliant poet Matthew Gellman at @adroitjournal today. @boaeditions 💗📚💗
