For my first @defcon, i competed in the @sec_defcon 's vishing competition and placed in 7th. I had so much fun! Thanks to all the organizers, coaches, and judges!

TIL about SSH Key Options. They can be used to restrict an entry in the authorized_keys file. E.g., by prepending the line below, the key can only port fwd. no-agent-forwarding,no-X11-forwarding,no-pty,command="echo 'Port forwarding only';sleep 15" ssh-rsa AAAAB. Cool, eh?

I've known Dede for over four years now and it breaks my heart to hear this news. He is a promising young hacker. If you can help out, I'm sure his family would appreciate it.
It's really tough to see things like this happening to anyone, but especially people in the security community, if you have a moment or a way to support I'm confident it would be appreciated.
