Last week members of our management team responded to the #LosGatosCreekIncident in Coalinga. Field teams collected 94 oil-impacted Western Toads and 1 Western Spadefoot from the spill site across several days. @CalSpillWatch @ucdavisvetmed

On Saturday, Congolese wildlife authority rangers confiscated an infant #chimpanzee from rebels & delivered him to Gorilla Doctors. He was tiny, only 3kg with a wound on his left hand that we treated. Drs. Eddy & Fabrice cared for him before transporting him to @lwiroprimates.

Our CA #MountainLion project lead Dr. Vickers contributed data to mortality maps from the #UCDavis Road Ecology Center which show that many cougars suffer similar fates as the late #P22, with 1-2 killed every week on CA roads and highways 2015-2022.
