We bid farewell to Jacques Delors, a pillar of the EU project. His leadership and vision have been instrumental in making the EU more united, integrated, and prosperous.

Nach 25 Jahren vertrauensvoller Zusammenarbeit im Deutschen Bundestag hatte ich auch als Präsident der Europäischen Investitionsbank einen Gouverneur mit geopolitischem Weitblick und europäischer Passion.

Ich trauere um einen grossen europäischen Staatsmann, der die Wiedervereinigung der Deutschen und die Versöhnung der Europäer so kraftvoll und überzeugt vorangetrieben hat wie wenige andere.

🇪🇺Today, the EIB Board of Directors approved €5bn to support Europe’s wind energy sector, in line with the #REPowerEU plan to accelerate the energy transition. Renewable energy is key to deliver the European Green Deal, which aims to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
