Sowing rage and anger against the Prime Minister can yield bitter fruit, as we saw last week in Belleville. Now, as the MAGAfication of our politics continues, it's time to focus on where that's coming from -- and why. #cdnpoli

Congratulations @Teamsters, @IBT251, @TeamsterRnF and everyone who worked so hard to win the best contract ever for all UPS employees, full-time & part-time. I hear part-time general wage increases will be double what they were in the previous contract! #UnionStrong

@CPHO_Canada @jyduclos We have to act. Average weekly excess mortality in 2023 is still 20% higher than 2020 or 2021. Provinces may not intend to act, but federal agencies and officials have an ethical responsibility to protect Canadian lives too--we all have an ethical responsibility as human beings.

As with the Manning Panel's interim report and the government's refusal to release it, I have to ask the question: is it because it's too bonkers, or because it's not bonkers enough?
I'm old enough to remember when government panels on important energy issues in Alberta held public consultations, made all submissions to their process public, and had their reports published along with, where appropriate, a government response. #ableg

Maine has a Democratic governor who is singlehandedly blocking farmworkers from getting anything resembling fair treatment and compensation at their job. First she vetoed a unionization bill passed by the legislature, now it's a minimum wage bill. Unreal
Maineβs Democratic Gov. Janet Mills has vetoed a bill that would legally define farmworkers as employees, boosting their wages to the state minimum wage of $13.80 in addition to other protections. The legislature will have a chance to override the veto.

Reviewers: 'How could you not reference this famous and essential book?' WorldCat, when I look the book up: 'The book, written in Pictish and rumoured to be cursed, exists in a single 1981 manuscript copy in a private collection in Australia. '

Later, Rick. You lived your life like you knew it would end this soon. You turned your rage into cathartic beauty and seemingly shared your happiness with anyone who needed it. I hope you knew what you did for me. I hope you knew that I knew what you did for me. Love you.

I should be clear βΒ I'm very lucky! I make a good salary. I'm not worried about becoming unhoused! But if I'm having this much trouble, I can't even imagine how newcomers, or big families, or low-income people are navigating the market. It's unsustainable.

These are 100% NOT Harvardβs admission rates based on race & it absolutely baffles me that doofuses like this with no capacity for critical thought & middle-school-level reading comprehension clog up so much space in this public discourse & mislead so much of the public.
This is Harvard's admission rates based on race... Asians: 12.7% Whites: 15.3% Hispanics: 31.3% Blacks: 56.1% It was actual systemic racism, but labeled "Affirmative action." That's what the Supreme Court ruled against this morning. Next up, corporate hiring practices.

There is no good argument for legacy admissions. You had nothing to do with your parent or grandparent graduating from college. You should not have an unearned advantage over a non-legacy applicant by accident of birth.
