I'm gutted that such a wonderful organisation such as Streetwise Opera is struggling. Its a tough time for all arts organisations, but arts organisations such as Streetwise who provide excellent opportunities for some of the most marginalised in society, should be protected...

Having fun looking into Eva Spalding. Her art songs are detailed on https://t.co/6Mrl44qlaT. Other works include a piece for clarinet & orchestra. Interestingly, pioneering singer & actor Thomas Baptiste (f. African-Asian committee of Equity) had a large collection of her works.
String players: do you know of Eva Ruth Spalding (1883-1969)? Ruth Gipps promoted her work which included 6 string quartets and violin pieces. Would love to know what they’re like. (Prompted to ask as 2 are currently on eBay). She lived with pianist/composer Beatrice Mary Hall.
