"There is a campaign to save this beautiful building from the 1960s. there's more to it than simply a slab of concrete. It's one of the last remaining great buildings of it's time." . Well said Kevin!. Donate to #SaveSmallbrook here:.

The CAMPAIGN CONTINUES. It is not all over. We are still challenging the decision to demolish Smallbrook. A planning condition for demolition is that a contract needs to be in place to build the first tower. BCC have agreed to tell our legal team when a contract is received

There is something very odd going on with Priory Square!.Why have Hammerson, the developers, suddenly sprung into action when planning permission for total demolition has lapsed. Any ideas what the real reason is for total lockdown?.

Planning requires that demolition of Smallbrook Ringway can only occur if there are sufficient funds to build the first tower. £29 million is insufficient they need £350 + million. Will BCC guarantee that Smallbrook does not end up as another demolition site?

Hopefully conservation area status might offer some modicum of protection. Any chance we can include Smallbrook in there too? It has the accolade of being the most intact collection of Brums post war modernism.

The idea is born out of the recent failed attempt to list The Electric cinema, which dates from 1909.
