@WeAreAlluma Big + to all of these. One thing I don't see mentioned often is that even when these functions are available on state portals, some times they are inaccessible to folks who cannot pass identity verification, which is a barrier for those with frequent moves or no credit history.

"Increased CalFresh participation may be related to its expanded accessibility during the pandemic. The state eliminated/streamlined many aspects of applying for benefits, such as allowing people to apply without an in-person meeting & sign up with an over-the-phone signature."
Two years into the coronavirus pandemic, use of the CalFresh food-assistance program in the Bay Area remains much higher than it was before, and shows no signs of declining.
