I talked to a Theravāda Monk today, He was enthusiastic to teach me Dhamma, but the moment I asked about conversions he became visibly uninterested and said We don't do such types of things here. If monks are like this I can only imagine how unenthusiastic laypeople might be.
Rich Mahayana,Theravada Buddhist missionaries need to work their asses off to spread/preach Dhamma zealously to stop these Indians from abnormally converting into foreign non-Indic religions.

Traveled a lot through rain again today but it was worth it. I heard the Dhamma for the first time in Telugu. And the Pāli chants in between really made my day.
Met a Telugu Buddhist Monk today. So glad the Dhamma is on a revival mode here.
