Yoga is overrated for those who think Yoga is just a few stretching exercises. I can guarantee you this person does not know what Yoga is. It is an entire system that explores working of our mind and how to attain mental peace. Even Buddhist Vipasna is derived from Vedic Yoga

To give this a context, Two years ago, I was asked to explain a Vedic Mantra ( चित्रं देवानामुदगादनीकं चक्षुर्मित्रस्य....) to a group of people. It took me 2 hours to cover it. Maybe I'll post the audio recording here to give an idea about how deep the mantras are.

Many are asking "Why don't we just translate Vedas ourselves"? Well the problem is, it is impossible to translate Vedas. Any translation will be extremely simplified and will hardly convey the real meaning. There are multiple correct interpretations possible for Vedas. One

In the Vedas, no word is a noun every word is an adjective. What is Indra in the Vedas? The leader and controller of a defined system is the Indra of that frame of reference. 1. Sun is the Indra of all planets. 2. Ishvar is the Indra of all existence.

Why are most English translations of the Vedas nonsense? I'll give you an example. Take this Veda mantra, for example: वृ॒क्षेवृ॑क्षे॒ निय॑ता मीमय॒द्गौस्ततो॒ वय॒: प्र प॑तान्पूरु॒षाद॑: । अथे॒दं विश्वं॒ भुव॑नं भयात॒ इन्द्रा॑य सु॒न्वदृष॑ये च॒ शिक्ष॑त् Griffith's translation:

Punjab is not "The land of Sikhs"; Hindus have been living there since the Saraswati river flowed. Chhat Pooja is actually closer to the native festivals and culture of Punjab because Sun or Surya is one of the three Vedic Devas and was worshipped since time immemorial.

Funny thing is, most people who are speaking against Sanskrit in the comments have Sanskrit names. Let's use their names to learn Sanskrit 1. आदर्श Means Mirror Used in Bhagwadgeeta - धूमेनाव्रियते वह्निर्यथाऽऽदर्शो मलेन च। यथोल्बेनावृतो गर्भस्तथा तेनेदमावृतम 2. पङ्कज

We don't learn Sanskrit to get a Job, we learn Sanskrit because it is our language, because it is the most beautiful language. And most of all, we learn Sanskrit because it connects us with our past, our ancestors, our civilization.

What Gives context to a Vedic Mantra is Rishi, Devta and Chhanda. Rishi name suggests what the is direction of the verse, devta is the topic and chhanda is the emotion. Each word's meaning is derived using Nairukta method in the context defined by Devta and Rishi. One

Why most people can't understand Vedas? If you ever read English translations of the Vedas, you will often find them bland and meaningless. They talk about primitive wars, worshiping ancient gods; some things don't make sense at all. This happens because the translators did not

After thousands of years of research, science will discover ऋतम्भरा प्रज्ञा, which was explained by Patanjali 3000+ years ago. The question is, will we remain in denial waiting for science to catch up? Or will we start following the Eternal Dharma ourdelves.

Your brain might be tuning into intelligence – not generating it. Biophysicist Douglas Youvan believes intelligence isn’t something the brain creates, but something it connects to. His hypothesis is that intelligence is a fundamental, non-local property of the universe –

Learning Sanskrit literally improves brain function and memory. It has been scientifically proven. I have lived among Gurukul students who memorized entire Vedas and they could memorize literally anything. You become a better person just by learning the Sanskrit language.

Why Hindus don't know about their own shastras? धर्म हिंसा तथैव च Is fake verse. It does not complete the shloka. It does not exist. Real verse from Mahabharata is given below where Bhishma is preaching Vegetarianism. Himsa is always Adharma. Himsa must not be done.

No, the difference was fundamental. In fact Hinayana Buddhists declared all Mahayanists (Nalanda monks) as Hindus. Hinayanists did not not even considered Mahayanists as Buddhists and the reverse was also true. From records of Hiuen Tsang -

It is perfectly fine. Because the difference is only in Abhidharma. If today, I have a different means of explaining what the Buddha taught, and if it should contradict all the above schools, it's still fine. All these schools were trying to analyze the Buddha’s philosophy by

@VedicWisdom1 Actually, Buddhism is what is prevalent worldwide, Vedanta is pretty much history. Modern science relates to Buddhism far better. India is N intellectual backwater and hence Buddhism is not very prevalent. Vedanta relies on unprovable axioms. Like Brahman. It makes you feel good
