What happened was that Move On Nigeria went to Ghana to ask for a record that is in Nigeria. Was the exam done in Ghana? And for the avoidance of doubt, only the candidate and a court of competent jurisdiction can ask the Council for any certificate/result.
In 2015, WAEC volunteered that they could not find the record of Buhari's WASC.
In 2018,

WAEC conducts two private candidates' exams per year. While WASSCE for Private Candidates-First Series is done in Jan/Feb, the Second Series is done in Oct/Nov. So, the results that were released on February 14, 2022 were for WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2021-Second Series.

WAEC, Nigeria, has appointed Dr Amos Josiah Dangut, MSTAN, MNIM, as the new Head of the National Office.
He took over from Mr. P.E. Areghan, FCGP, who retired from active service on Monday, October 2, 2023.
Dr Dangut joined the services of the Council in 1998.
