@GilmourSpace @acmadotgov If I had $1 for every Australian space company we've spotted launching radiosondes without an appropriate license from the ACMA I'd have $2. Which isn't much, but it's funny that it's happened twice.

Spotted some radiosonde launches by @GilmourSpace on Using Graw PS-15 pilotsondes. No license in the @acmadotgov database for the 400.170 MHz frequency they are using though 🤔

Oh look @AST_SpaceMobile using the amateur radio bands again. Their argument to the FCC is "It's outside the US, we don't have do do any analysis." Kindly get the hell out of our bands thank you. @acmadotgov.
. and here is the answer from AST SpaceMobile. They just ignore @IARU and the rest of the world, with its legal users in the 430-440 MHz UHF band. I wonder what @bnetza thinks about it?

Playing with one of these cheap 'EMF meters'. Starts blinking scarily at a few tens of mW/m^2. For reference the @ARPANSANews RPS S-1 General Public limit at the frequency I was TXing on is 2000 mW/m^2. No wonder the people who buy these things freak out.
