All of our parks downtown feature bear-proof containers. It's a start. :) Local waste companies offer them, but not everyone requests them. We're with you. We'd like to see them all over.

A reminder that the counties of Archuleta, Dolores, Montezuma and San Juan see some of the highest incidents of bear activity in the state. Follow these tips as bears start looking more and more to urban areas for food this time of year.
