Absolutly disgusted with Haein's comments, but also I think they show that society should educate better on sexual abuse. She seems to think that what she did is not wrong, and she is probably not the only one who thinks this way... which makes it more likely for abuse to happen

to sandwich a grievance about having to miss the olympics in between an admission of s*xual misconduct on a minor as if the two are comparable in any way is certainly a choice… a very gross and insensitive choice

17-13 is still a very inappropriate relationship gap btw and if it really has been going on this long why did no one stop it? this is on haein but it is also on people who have a duty of care

honestly this is just really sad and speaks to how much education is needed. evidence of a relationship is completely irrelevant to the issue of harassment. it’s sad & awful that feds are failing their athletes by minimizing what “counts”as harassment or appropriate relationships
