25 years later and I've still got three Cobalt Qube 2s running NetBSD. A 200MHz processor and 256Mb of RAM. These things will survive the apocalypse with ease. Can't wait to upgrade to 11!.

Does anyone know where the #Kasten CRDs can be downloaded from?. Apparently Kasten DR is broken out of the box if you don't use the Multicluster feature - meaning you have to install the CRDs manually - even though your inital deployment used GitOps :-(. #kubernetes #k8s #veeam.

Ps. Before anyone takes time-off criticising Virtzilla to come defend the honour of their (unnamed) product then be warned. here be dragons. I've got a ruined cluster and DR backups in AWS that are not restorable. I've just chosen to impart words of wisdom :-).

. and one is unworkable (CLI, really?), and the other is broken more than it works (I have the support tickets to prove it). Pro-tip: backup your app/data. Don't rely on the Kubernetes layer. Kinda like Wet Wet Wet's Love - snake-oil is all around :-).

Being a "Kubernetes-first" kinda chap has served me well. Lifting and shifting everything in my lab to k8s has taught me so much. But bloody hell, when you have an extinction-level event you really are screwed. I've tried both well-known Kubernetes data protection vendors. .
