Lessons from my pts: Was trying to discuss a lab change from the day prior and what that meant and pt stops me and says: “Labs don’t tell you anything, it’s just a snapshot in time. You have to look at the trend. We can talk about it tomorrow.” And I just walked myself out 🫡

Walked in to a new pts room today and before I could introduce myself she asked if I was one of her doctors, when I said yes she said, “yes, you look like a doctor” just what I needed today to help soothe some of these intern scaries 🥹

My MGB PGY-1 salary (including the new stipend) is ~$20k higher than that of a BMC PGY-1, and approx the same as that of a BMC PGY-7. SEVEN. In the same expensive city. Most updated pay scales I could find pictured. Looking forward to this gap closing #faircontractBMC

This is my dear friend, Nakita. Nakita and I were medical school classmates and both interns in New York City. Nakita tragically took her own life on May 26. She is such a beautiful soul. She was so fun to be around. She was intelligent, charismatic, and confident. (1/x)
