Linking trade, climate and development, this is one to watch
The Coalition of Trade Ministers on Climate, co-led by 🇪🇺🇪🇨🇰🇪🇳🇿, held a high-level discussion on developing countries’ priorities to advance the climate agenda through trade with @UNCTAD & @WTO.🤝 Participants stressed the Coalition’s key role in linking trade, climate & finance.

The EU supports LDCs in many ways, but the EIF is still the only multilateral aid-for-trade programme exclusively for LDCs.

The EU was not alone. Developed and developing countries alike backed its call.
At today’s WTO General Council, the EU 🇪🇺 calls for action on global trade fragmentation caused by US tariffs. Members must address this most pressing trade issue through dialogue—while also tackling the root causes of the WTO crisis and global macroeconomic imbalances.
