i'm all for conservatory-like spaces that are educational, but i'm also for community center spaces. if folks want to teach and sing the gospel tradition without sermons/doctrine involved, somebody gotta step up and make it happen. we been discussing this for years 😭

Over time my lesson learned is “how you get in is how you stay in.” I don’t envy the ppl who popped early because the concessions they make to get there will follow them *in perpetuity*
This is why artists need to be more mindful of their art and the ppl it attracts early on, b/c now Tyler is in his mid 30s and trying to grow but the fanbase he consciously cultivated stands in stark contrast to that evolution and refuses to grow with him. Nasty work 🤦🏾♂️
