Even if you “wrote it” and just directed chatgpt to clean it up, or whatever… you’ve already brought me into the uncanny valley. I’m on the defensive because I‘ve clocked that some amount of this is artifice. I might as well assume all of it.

If someone wants to work with me, I’d much prefer they took 5 minutes to write 2-3 sentences about why. Doesn’t matter if it has a few errors! Instead, what I get are LLMs trawling my website and repackaging my own writing about my work back to me.

if you send me an email written by chatgpt, you might as well have spelled my name wrong. it just demonstrates a complete lack of care and professionalism.
