I don't mean posting more. I mean getting to know your neighbors. I mean making sure people who are even more vulnerable now have their basic needs met. I mean refusing to comply. The only solution now is to model the world that we want so it becomes irresistible to others.

@DPearsonPHL @CaralhoPhilly Yes they are. Your perception of urbanity and rurality is warped. An Airbnb in the Poconos can be urban and a post-industrial neighborhood like Bridesburg can be rural. It’s about distance from the power structure. That’s what cities are for.

So many of the Democratic Party's problems stem from the fact that its base voters think politicians are their cool friends and not vectors through which you do or do not achieve your goals. The ideas matter. The movements matter. The politicians are disposable.

I don't vote shame anyone. That said, I understand the "I just can't vote for genocide" position. I do not understand the "not voting will move the Democratic Party left" argument.
This isn’t vote shaming. It’s stating a fact. Harris losing will not move the party further left. It will not “teach them a lesson.” I understand why some people feel they can’t vote for her but reckon with the harm electing Trump will cause & don’t pretend her losing will help.

I am hardly a Harris defender for all the obvious reasons but "she's dumb" bugs me because it's so obviously gendered and racialized. Trump is the most insulated and incurious man to ever visit the white house, much less occupy it. To believe otherwise is a sign of mental defect.
