This week Miami lost one of its pioneering preservationists, Arva Moore Parks (1939-2020). A historian and author, Parks documented the development of Miami in numerous books and films. (1/4) #umchc #arvamooreparks

We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Arva Moore Parks. Arva possessed a singular dedication to preserving Miami history and was a good friend, supporter, and patron of our collections. We'll miss her and are honored to be part of her legacy.
