2nd great day of Civics at BMS! Including collaboration between 7th & 6th Graders! Never too early to be involved! Thank you NYS Assembly Member Doug Smith for sharing his story, & to the SCPD, BOE, and teachers for advocating for student voices! #clipperPRIDE

Civics Day, BMS- past 5th graders engage in an amazing PBL: inequities of lunch menu. They presented clearly & allowed their passion, advocacy, & knowledge to shine through and empower the audience! It was truly amazing to witness and be a part of! #collaboration #PBL

With so much misinformation and ambiguity around #equity, I'm not shocked that some have banned it from policy. However, if any politician, school board, or leader bans THIS definition, they should be run OUT of office on skates. #StartWithTheCROWN #RuthlessEquity #TeachTimmy

Differentiation at its best! Mr. Pope created these from the laser cutter to assist a student in DDP class who had trouble with fractions. Students can reach the same destination when we can visualize different paths. @BuonomoBrian @RomanelliPaul

The food scientists at Good Food, Inc were hired to investigate the mixtures in 3 cups. They examined & described the observable & nanoscale properties & predicted each ingredient & how the addition of each changed their properties. @Rucinski_Ulberg @MrTonySantana @STEMDirectorSC

The most common IEP accommodation is extended time. What if we allowed additional time to any student? Or didn't time at all? If speed isn't what we're assessing, extended time doesn't change the standard. #LeadInclusion #EdChat #ATAssessment

A great day for these 5th graders! Ralph, owner of Capozzi & Co Salon came to class to conduct a workshop for students interested in learning hairstyling techniques! With donated mannequins and supplies, this lucky group learned techniques & got a history lesson! @MrTonySantana
