This sounds like a rage bait tweet. In any case, no one knows everything about everything. Doesn’t matter how many big businesses they’ve run or how many trillions they have. So, nothing there to “think”. If that’s what he says, good for him. Doesn’t mean it’s sensible.

When Steve Jobs was diagnosed with cancer, he refused medical treatment and chose to rely on fruit diets and acupuncture instead. The doctors knew he was making the wrong choice, but they could not force him as he had the right to decide. Sadly, that decision cost him his life,

We must understand the laws of nature as espoused via the hard labour of scientific methods aren’t amenable to our feelings and desires. Things aren’t true or untrue *because of* who’s saying or disagreeing with them, be they our friends or ideological compatriots.

Yes, in the public arena we must learn to authenticate opinions shared by so-called experts, but maybe do it from a place of basic logical competency, intellectual openness & scholarly humility. Anecdotes cannot at this point in our civilization replace evidence based reasoning.

One would think educated folks in a country with some of the worst maternal health outcomes would be more circumspect about medical information. Instead it’s a prevalence of “we’ve been doing it since 500BC”. Ok, but you also consistently had the world’s worst aggregate results.

Ever since I made a video about Fourier Transforms, one of the most requested topics on the channel has been its close cousin, the Laplace Transform. I've been having a lot of fun animating a mini-series about this topic, and the main part is now out. https://t.co/oKawJAGyx1

In just two years China reduced its dependence on US helium from 95% to 5%. Once again, China identified and solved an urgent problem not by picking a single winning incumbent or oligarch (as US or UK does), but by promoting seven diverse research teams working independently at

Here's a question I know many are wondering about: why did China wait until now to use rare earths as leverage against the US? Why not in the first Trump administration when the US started the trade hostilities? Or when the Biden administration unleashed the chips export controls

This is a turning point. The sense of being strangled that the US feels today from China's rare earth export controls is exactly like the one China experienced in 2018 when the US cut off chip supplies. The US isn't entirely out of cards to play; it still has some. But when it

You’d do so many things differently if you learn to see yourself, not in isolation, but as one link out of a long chain of people stretching far into the past and into the future and your job is to not be the weak link.

How much are Africans spending on research? Performance in science and technology, is similar to performance in sports - better funded sports programs tend to produce the kind of athletes who win the most gold medals at the Olympics. Europe's Large Hadron Collider (LHC) cost
