Breach of contract. The musician doesn't automatically gain copyright just by having the file. The filmmakers can easily do a takedown and should. And in case of no contract (which is stupid), the filmmakers still own the copyright of their edit and videography.
We have the tech to make incredible, realistic looking CGI - but with zero thought for pacing and composition, scenes like this are forgettable. Do we dream in fast cuts and multiple angles? No. Then why are we telling stories like this?
YouTubers would slap a logo on a hoodie and call it a day. I treat my merch as an extension my art, and being able to design physical objects became a fun side effect of getting into animation.
