The best reason to be called to the principal's office...Maggie, one of my student ambassadors, earned a National Merit Commendation. Of the 1.5 million students who enter the National Merit competition each year, her score placed her among the Top 3% of test takers nationally!🥳

We’ve been counting sleeps to the pumpkin patch for what feels like forever. 🎃 It was hot, windy, and felt nothing like fall—but I’m thankful for moments when I can take off my superintendent hat and just be Mom for a bit. 💙

Slidell freshman Cash Luig garnered the individual bronze medal (17:13.15) in the District 9-2A boys 5K run Monday at Alvord High School. The Hounds (45) were second in the league standings behind Collinsville, and earned a team berth to the 2A Region II championships.

#MissionMonday brought us to Rann Elementary where we spent time in our bilingual classrooms and finished in art class where we learned about ambidextrous artist @Rajacenna. We even tried our hand at "double doodling"...the students were NOT impressed with our abilities.😅🎨
