Under first-year coach Stormi Snider, the Decatur Lady Eagles used lessons learned in a pair of district losses as a springboard to claim the program's sixth state title. The Lady Eagles are the 2025 Wise County Messenger Girls Team of the Year.

After a 3-2 start, Decatur coach Drew Coffman saw something special in his team. From that moment, the Lady Eagled sparked a 33-game win streak, culminating with their first state title. Coffman is the 2025 Wise County Messenger Coach of the Year.
