YES and also, a lot of it feeds into ‘women should be nurturing & submissive’ narratives that overlap w trad-wife & alt-right rhetoric. the same way purity culture uses religion, ‘divine feminine’ influencers can use spirituality & mysticism to rebrand patriarchy as empowerment.
so tired of ‘divine feminine energy’ being directly tied to sensuality and sexiness. being feminine is not inherently sexy - being sexy is inherently sexy. anyone can exude sexy energy. men think being sexy is the pinnacle of femininity cs they think sex is the purpose of women.
