I like Go. But just use Laravel.
Choose boring tech doesn’t mean you have to build every product with PHP and MySQL. It can just be something that your team or org has experience with so when things go wrong you know what needs to be done quickly. In practice this means that an org with lots of Go paved paths.

The only question you need to be able to answer with your CSS solution is: "Can I delete this CSS?". In a small project with one or two devs, that's generally easy to answer. But a big project with multiple teams and years of code in, if you're using regular CSS it's chaos and I.
